Eligibility

Canadian Aboriginal peoples: First Nations, Métis, and Inuit residents of Manitoba, enrolled in post-secondary studies in Manitoba, may apply. Students must maintain a minimum course load of 60% to retain eligibility status.

Application Procedure

Please note application closing date is SEPTEMBER 15, 2010 at 4:00 P.M.

You must complete an application form in order to qualify. The Foundation will not accept incomplete applications. Please include the following with your application:

• Your application
• Reference letters from Educator, Employer, Community Member
• Grade Transcripts (Copies accepted)
• Letter confirming your admission to a program or continued enrollment
• Proof of Aboriginal ancestry (photocopy of card/or genealogy/or narrative story)
• Resume or curriculum vitae
• An autobiography; please include information and special considerations that will make your request compelling to the jury/selection committee
• Short 150 Word Essay of the Life and Legacy of Helen Betty Osborne

As well, include any personal information such as goals and aspirations that you feel will make your request a compelling one, and include any special considerations that the jury should know about.
