Eligibility

Canadian Aboriginal peoples: First Nations, Métis, and Inuit residents of Manitoba, enrolled in post-secondary studies in Manitoba, may apply. Students must maintain a minimum course load of 60% to retain eligibility status.

Application Procedure

The deadline for applications is August 30th of each year.

You must complete an application form in order to qualify. The Foundation will not accept incomplete applications. Please include the following with your application:

  1. Reference letters from; educator, employer, community member
  2. Grade transcripts (copies accepted)
  3. Letter confirming your admission or enrollment to a program
  4. Proof of Aboriginal Ancestry
  5. Resume or curriculum vitae
  6. A statement of introduction; include infomration and special considerations that make your request compelling to the jury/adjudication committee.

As well, include any personal information such as goals and aspirations that you feel will make your request a compelling one, and include any special considerations that the jury should know about.
